JOTA birthday party

Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA):

The JOTA is an annual event in which Scouts and Guides all over the world speak to each other by means of amateur radio contacts. Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas are shared, via the radio waves.

Birthday party:

In the afternoon of August 4th all Scout radio amateurs at the World Jamboree site are invited to visit GB100J to the JOTA birthday party.

We celebrate that that the JOTA idea was born exactly 50 years ago, at the World Jamboree in Sutton Coldfield in 1957.
So if you are on site come join us for birthday cake!

50th Jamboree On The Air:

The largest annual WOSM event, the Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) will be held this year for the 50th time during the weekend of October 20th and 21st 2007.
The theme for this JOTA is "Around the world in 50 Hours"
